At Milutina Bataje 2, in a quiet corner of Zamet, ten minutes from downtown Rijeka and from Opatija. Ivan is a comfortable studio apartment; Laurel is a compact apartment in a separate little house with its own garden, terrace and wood-fired grill. Each has its own entrance, so the two stays never overlap. Ploče and Kantrida, two of the city’s best beaches, are close by, along with tennis courts, the Kantrida stadium, and Zamet’s sports centre.

“The house is small but excellent, with every comfort — enough for two parents and two young children. The sea is fifteen minutes on foot, four by car, with free parking by the beach. We'll definitely be back.
